Install PEPEtide on Your Phone or Desktop

Install PEPEtide as a Progressive Web App on iOS, Android, or desktop to get offline access, home screen launch, and a native app experience.

PEPEtide is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it on your device directly from your browser — no app store required. Once installed, it launches from your home screen or desktop like a native app, runs in its own window without browser chrome, and your personal tracking data remains available even when you’re offline.

What you get after installing

• Home screen / desktop shortcut — launch PEPEtide like any other app
• Full-screen experience — no browser address bar or tabs
• Offline access — all personal tracking features (peptide library, vials, protocols, calendar) work without an internet connection
• Faster loading — assets are cached locally by the service worker

Offline support covers personal tracking features only. The community database requires an internet connection because it reads from and writes to a shared cloud database.

Installation instructions

iOS

Install PEPEtide on an iPhone or iPad using Safari. The PWA install prompt is not available in Chrome or Firefox on iOS — you must use Safari.

1. Open PEPEtide in Safari

   Navigate to the PEPEtide URL in Safari on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Tap the Share button

   Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the box with an arrow pointing up). On iPad, the Share button is in the top toolbar.

3. Select Add to Home Screen

   Scroll through the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.

4. Confirm the name and tap Add

   Edit the name if you prefer a shorter label, then tap Add in the top-right corner.

PEPEtide now appears on your home screen. Tap it to launch in full-screen mode.

If you don’t see “Add to Home Screen” in the share sheet, scroll down — it may be below the fold on the first row of options.

Android

Install PEPEtide on an Android phone or tablet using Chrome.

1. Open PEPEtide in Chrome

   Navigate to the PEPEtide URL in Chrome on your Android device.

2. Open the Chrome menu

   Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Chrome.

3. Tap Install app or Add to Home Screen

   Tap Install app if you see that option. On older versions of Chrome it may appear as Add to Home Screen instead — both do the same thing.

4. Tap Install to confirm

   Tap Install on the confirmation prompt. Chrome may briefly display a splash screen as it installs.

PEPEtide now appears in your app drawer and on your home screen. Tap it to launch in full-screen mode.

On some Android devices, Chrome shows a banner at the bottom of the screen with an Add to Home Screen button as soon as you visit. You can tap that instead of going through the menu.

Desktop

Install PEPEtide on Windows, macOS, or Linux using Chrome or Edge.

1. Open PEPEtide in Chrome or Edge

   Navigate to the PEPEtide URL in Chrome or Edge on your computer.

2. Click the install icon in the address bar

   Look for a small install icon (a monitor with a down arrow, or a plus sign) on the right side of the address bar. Click it.

   If you don’t see the icon, open the browser menu (three dots) and look for Install PEPEtide or Install app.

3. Click Install to confirm

   Click Install on the confirmation dialog.

PEPEtide opens in its own window and is added to your system’s app launcher, taskbar, or Applications folder depending on your operating system.

Firefox does not support PWA installation on desktop. Use Chrome or Edge for the desktop install experience.

Uninstalling

To remove PEPEtide from your device:

• iOS — long-press the icon on your home screen, tap Remove App, then Delete App.
• Android — long-press the icon, drag it to Uninstall, or go to Settings → Apps and uninstall from there.
• Desktop (Chrome / Edge) — open PEPEtide, click the three-dot menu inside the app window, and select Uninstall PEPEtide.

Uninstalling the PWA does not delete your local data. Your peptides, vials, protocols, and dose logs remain in your browser’s IndexedDB storage. To clear that data, use your browser’s Clear site data option for the PEPEtide domain.
